Welcome to the very first issue of GenXer Life.

If you grew up riding your bike until the streetlights came on, recording songs off the radio, spending Saturdays at the mall, renting movies from Blockbuster, or hearing the screech of a dial-up modem, you're among friends.

I started GenXer Life because I believe Generation X deserves a place of its own. A place where we can laugh about the things only we understand, remember the moments that shaped us, and take a break from the noise of everyday life.

This isn't going to be a history lesson, and it isn't going to be a place to complain about younger generations. It's going to be a community built around the music, movies, TV shows, toys, trends, humor, and life experiences that made growing up in the '70s, '80s, and '90s unforgettable.

Each week, you'll find things like:

  • Memories that instantly take you back.

  • Stories that make you laugh and say, "I remember that!"

  • Music, movies, and TV from the greatest era.

  • Fun polls and questions to settle old debates.

  • A reminder that growing up Gen X was a unique experience.

I hope this newsletter feels less like something from a company and more like hearing from an old friend.

This Week's Question

What's one thing from growing up that kids today will never truly understand?

Hit reply and tell me. I'd love to feature some of your answers in a future issue.

Thank you for being one of the very first members of the GenXer Life community. I'm excited to see where this journey takes us.

Until next time...

Stay nostalgic. Stay Gen X.

Raised on Hose Water and Neglect.
